Terms of Service

Clear terms for reading, downloading and, when sales open, buying from Carry China.

Effective 16 September 2026 · Last updated 16 September 2026

Before launch: Our free guides and samples are available now. Paid purchases, subscriptions and email sign-ups are not open. The purchase provisions below describe the policy that will apply when sales open; viewing this website does not place an order or start a subscription.

1. Who we are

Carry China is an independent travel-shopping publication operated by Li Yun Zhe, an individual based in China. Our website is shopchinaguide.com. For product, billing, accessibility or policy questions, email 20774807@qq.com.

2. What we provide

We publish English-language shopping guides for visitors to China. Our free guides, sample newsletter and preview PDF are available without an account. They are editorial information, not a travel booking service, a retailer of the goods described, or individual legal, tax or customs advice.

The planned Shanghai Shopping Field Guide is a PDF download at a one-time price of US$19. Carry China Weekly is a planned email publication at US$9 per month, with four complete editions per month. The full paid guide and subscription delivery are still in preparation. The current four-page preview is a free sample, not the complete paid guide.

3. Orders, payment and delivery

When sales open, you must be at least 18 and able to enter into a purchase contract. The product page and checkout will state the contents, format, delivery arrangements, price, currency and any applicable taxes before you pay. An order is only placed through an active checkout and confirmed payment; browsing or downloading a sample creates no payment obligation.

Waffo is our intended Merchant of Record for paid sales. For purchases processed through Waffo, the legal seller identified at checkout handles payment, receipts, applicable sales taxes and payment disputes under its Buyer Terms. Carry China creates the content and is responsible for product delivery and support. A Waffo checkout is not currently available from this website.

At launch, PDF orders will receive a download link through the purchase email address. Newsletter editions will be delivered to the subscription email address. The delivery timing and first newsletter date will be shown before purchase. You will need a working email address and, for guides, a device that can open PDF files. If content does not arrive, contact 20774807@qq.com; we will help restore delivery or arrange the applicable refund. We will not charge for a product before its delivery is ready.

4. Subscription renewal and cancellation

When enabled, the monthly membership will automatically renew and charge the payment method authorized at checkout each month until cancelled. There is no free trial planned. Your checkout and receipt will show your billing amount and renewal schedule.

You will be able to sign in to the Waffo customer portal using your purchase email to manage billing and cancel online. Submit cancellation at least 48 hours before renewal, as required by Waffo’s Buyer Terms, to avoid the next charge. Keep the cancellation confirmation. Cancellation stops future renewals; service continues until the end of the paid period unless you request and receive a refund. If the portal is unavailable or a charge occurs after timely cancellation, contact us promptly for help.

Unsubscribing from email delivery alone does not cancel billing. Use the portal to cancel the paid subscription. We will clearly distinguish those actions in member emails. We will notify active subscribers of a price change before it takes effect, with time to cancel; it will not change a period already paid for.

5. Refunds

Our launch policy offers a 14-day full refund on a guide purchase and on the first membership payment, including if you have downloaded or read the content. Later renewal payments can be refunded for non-delivery, duplicate charges, incorrect billing or other qualifying problems. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the process and your statutory rights.

6. Personal use and content rights

You may read our guides, keep a personal copy of a purchased PDF and print it for your own trip. A purchase does not permit resale, redistribution, public uploading or sharing paid editions with a mailing list. Carry China retains rights in its original editorial content. Third-party photographs and other material remain subject to their stated licences; see photo credits. These terms do not restrict rights granted by those licences or by law.

7. Accuracy and outside services

Shop locations, stock, prices, opening hours and travel rules can change. Check the review date and confirm important details with the retailer or relevant authority. We do not guarantee savings, availability, tax refunds, customs clearance or the performance of an outside business. Links to retailers, maps and official sources lead to independently operated services. Any future paid placement or affiliate relationship will be disclosed.

8. Fair use and responsibility

Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access or use its materials unlawfully. We may restrict access necessary to address abuse. We aim to keep the site available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights concerning faulty or misdescribed digital content, fraud or mandatory consumer protections.

9. Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the publication develops. The date on this page identifies the current version. Material changes affecting an active paid service will be communicated to affected customers; changes will not retroactively remove rights from an existing purchase. Mandatory consumer rights available in your country remain applicable. Contact 20774807@qq.com to raise an issue so we can try to resolve it.
